Beware of phishing attempts: stay alert!

The ACL would like to warn its members about increasing attempts at phishing.

Caution: fraud attempts reported

We have been informed that malicious individuals are attempting to copy our messages (emails, text messages, etc.) in order to trap both our members and non-members.

The aim? To steal personal or banking information or to trick you into clicking on dangerous links. Here are examples of suspicious addresses:

  • info@ittpayfhvp.efficientsolutions.it.com
  • info@uohrvljmps.efficientsolution.it.com

 

How does the ACL contact you?

We only use:

  • emails from @acl.lu
  • post
  • telephone calls (never to ask you to take urgent action on an unexpected message)

How can you protect yourself?

  1. Check the sender
    ACL emails come only from addresses ending in @acl.lu.
  2. Hover your mouse over the links
    Check that the links really lead to an acl.lu website without clicking on them.
  3. Listen to the tone of the message
    Too alarming? Too tempting? Take the time to check, it could be a scam.
  4. Secure your connections
    Before entering any data, make sure that the address starts with https:// and that a lock appears in the browser bar.
  5. If in doubt: contact us
