ACL Vëlokëscht

On the occasion of European Mobility Week, ACL presents the ACL Vëlokëscht, an educational kit designed to help children develop their cycling skills and learn how to move safely in traffic.

Ride, play, learn!

The ACL Vëlokëschtis available free of charge to primary schools, maisons relais and municipalities. It contains all the equipment needed to easily set up a variety of cycling exercises in a schoolyard or other suitable space, including traffic cones, plastic chains, marking chalk, a folding ruler and a 20-metre measuring tape.

The kit also includes an educational manual with a range of exercises and clear instructions on how to set them up.

Once the course is set up, children aged 6 and over can practise a range of situations they may encounter while cycling, in a fun and safe environment.  Excercises include slaloms, starting off, signalling before changing direction and  precision braking.

The exercises help children develop their balance, coordination, bike-handling skills and reactions, while also teaching them how to behave safely and confidently in  traffic.

Discover the ACL Vëlokëscht at the ACL Village

Want to see the ACL Vëlokëscht in action? Part of the course will be set up at the ACL Village on 20 September, giving visitors the chance to discover the equipment, see some of the exercises in practice and learn about the kit.

Schools, maisons relais and municipalities interested in setting up their own cycling course can use the ACL Vëlokëscht free of charge. All information and conditions are available on our website.
