Which types of vehicle are compatible with Coyote Secure?
Coyote Secure is compatible with most cars, SUVs, commercial vehicles and motorhomes. The device operates independently and does not need to be connected to the vehicle’s electrical system, making it suitable for almost all models. When you book an appointment, an ACL advisor will check compatibility with your vehicle.
How long does the installation take?
The installation is carried out by our technicians at the ACL Diagnostic Center in Bertrange and takes around 30 minutes. The exact location of the device will be kept confidential to ensure maximum discretion. Once the installation is complete, you will receive a certificate of installation.
How does Coyote Secure differ from a conventional GPS tracker?
Conventional GPS trackers use GSM networks to transmit the vehicle’s position. Professional thieves use jammers that interrupt these signals within seconds. Coyote Secure operates on a patented low frequency that penetrates metal and concrete. This means the vehicle can still be tracked even in an underground car park, a locked garage or a metal container.
What exactly happens if my vehicle is stolen?
As soon as you report the theft to the police, you should also notify Coyote Secure. A dedicated response team will then be mobilised around the clock to physically locate your vehicle using the sensor network. The vehicle will be recovered in coordination with the local law enforcement authorities. This process is available throughout Europe.
Does the service still work if my vehicle is stolen abroad?
Yes. The Coyote sensor network covers the whole of Europe. Whether your vehicle is taken to Belgium, France, Germany or even further afield, the response team can locate it and coordinate its return in cooperation with the authorities in the relevant country.
What happens if the vehicle isn’t found?
Coyote guarantees a result. If your vehicle isn’t found within 30 days of the theft being reported, Coyote will refund the set-up fees and any remaining subscription fees up to a maximum of €2,000.
Does the device need servicing or recharging?
No, thanks to its battery with a 5-year lifespan, the tracker is 100% self-sufficient. It therefore more than covers the 4 years of operation included in the ‘Pack Sérénité’.
Can I transfer the tracker if I change vehicles?
Transferring the device is technically possible, but must be carried out by a qualified technician to ensure the installation remains discreet. Please contact ACL Customer Service to arrange for the device to be removed and reinstalled in your new vehicle.
