Vignettes and tolls in Romania
All vehicles, with the exception of motorbikes, must be fitted with an electronic vignette.

The digital vignette is available both online and on site at border crossings or motorway service areas.
With the electronic vignette, the information about the vehicle and the period of validity are stored in a database. The buyer only receives a receipt for the amount paid, which he must keep for the entire period of validity of the vignette.
As far as toll roads are concerned, vehicles are checked against the corresponding database using mobile and fixed cameras.
However, there are no conventional toll stations.
