Madrid (permanent environmental zone)
The "Madrid Central" environmental zone in the city centre is marked and signposted with red lines. Monitoring is carried out by camera.
A driving ban applies to the following vehicles:
- Petrol-engined vehicles Euro 0-2
- Diesel vehicles 0-3
Vehicles not registered in Spain may enter the zone without an environmental sticker if they comply with the necessary emission standards. Proof must be obtained in advance from the Madrid Central office.

Barcelona (from Monday - Friday 7am to 8 pm)
The environmental zone covers the urban area within the Ronda de Dalt (B-20) and Ronda Litoral (B-10) ring road and parts of neighbouring municipalities. The low emission zone is indicated by signs.
Driving is prohibited for the following vehicles:
- Petrol-engined vehicles Euro 0-2
- Diesel vehicles Euro 0-3
- Motorcycles Euro 0-1
