Being able to see clearly at the wheel is vital

Published on 08.06.2023

A clean windscreen is essential to driving with due care and attention, and windscreen washer fluid is your friend, regardless of the season, especially as a lack of visibility can quickly turn into a tragedy.

There’s one vital factor that’s often overlooked when preparing your car to set off on holiday, that being visibility and, by extension, the cleanliness of your windscreen. It’s essential to check that it is spotless both inside and out, because a haze or reflection can prevent you from seeing an obstacle.

Then, of course, you have to keep it that way! In order to do this, your windscreen wipers need to be in perfect condition and you’ll need to get rid of any mosquitoes squashed onto the windscreen that will reduce your visibility.
With this in mind, it’s important to make sure you check your windscreen washer fluid level before setting off. You’ll recognise this easily by its coloured cap with a windscreen icon and a jet of water. Simply fill it up completely with the right fluid for the season.

Our ACL stores in Bertrange and Ingeldorf always have the current season’s windscreen washer fluid in stock, and as an ACL member you’ll also benefit from a 10% discount on this and many other products.

The ACL wishes you a happy holiday and a safe journey!
